HP BOARD RESULT
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education in class 12th result for vocational courses, arts and commerce streams declared today, girls grabbed the top positions. Renu of Sirmour, Nancy Sharma of Kangra and Saroj Lata of Hamirpur secured top positions in vocational, arts and commerce streams, respectively. The top three positions in all the three merit lists have gone to girls.the pass percentage of the academic year 2006-07 in arts-commerce and vocational, respectively, was 56.29 per cent and 56.60 per cent, this year it has risen to 70.45 per cent in arts-commerce and 74.96 per cent in vocational. Of the 63,379 candidates who took the exam for academic session 2007-08, 44,103 were declared pass.In the vocational course, Renu of Government Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Nahan, secured 741 marks out of 800, Varsha Devi of the same school secured 737 and Bharti Thapa of the same school secured 725 marks.Nancy Sharma of Government Senior Secondary School, Jwalamukhi, secured 438 marks out of 500 in commerce stream, Neha Jaswal of Una secured 432 and Nisha Devi of Kangra secured 425 marks.The topper in arts, Saroj Lata of Hamirpur, secured 436 marks out of 500, Nivedita of Government Girls’ Senior Secondary School, Portmore, Shimla, secured 427 and Ruchi Chawla of Government School, Nahan, secured 424 marks.
